Pakistani Taliban Behind Naval Base Attack

The Pakistani Taliban has said it was behind an attack on a Karachi naval base that has claimed at least five lives and destroyed naval aircraft.

Such a cowardly act of terror could not deter the commitment of the government and people of Pakistan to fight terrorism.

A gun battle between security forces and Taliban militants raged on Monday morning inside a naval base in Pakistan -- more than 10 hours after attackers with guns and grenades stormed the compound in Karachi.
